Welcome to MC Book Publishing! We started out as a small publisher in the back of mom’s garage. Now we are taking up the dining room, too!
Pre-Order
Horror Shorts #2
Valentina's Horror Shorts Issue #2 is available for Pre-Order!
Our hope is to ship it out by the end of December. This issue has seen completion a little faster than last issue mainly due to the contributions of some very talented artists, writers, and volunteers from around the world…. literally! Issue #2 has submissions from Canada, Scotland, Poland, Germany, California, Texas, New York, North Carolina, Louisiana, West Tampa, and more!
Plus, staff writer and snake-oil salesman, Dino Leto, penned three of eight comic stories that yours truly illustrated. But believe me, my art looks like stick figures compared to the other artists featured in this issue. So, Pre-Order a copy today. There will be a limited printing. And they make great gifts (not really, but our creditors require us to say that).

Valentina in Tampa, Florida, took advantage of our promotional offer and got a free copy of "Valentina's Horror Shorts" because she shares the same name as our hostess! Unlike most of our customers, she ACTUALLY read the magazine and didn't just look at the pictures!

Valentina on the red Carpet!
Dateline: Hollywood, California. Actress, model, and filmmaker Valerie Perez was seen on the red carpet with a copy of “Valentina’s Horror Shorts”! Ms. Perez is quoted as saying, “As long as the guys at MC Book Publishing have incriminating evidence on me, I will continue to promote their magazine.” We appreciate her participation and support and would like to point out that the word “blackmail” was never used in any of our correspondences.

The
Secret Origin
of
Valentina
Von Frankenstein !
The Secret Origin of Valentina Von Frankenstein! For over a year, I have had the idea for an “origin” story involving my horror hostess, Valentina Von Frankenstein. I got inspiration from “Weird Science” (1985) and “Young Frankenstein” (1974). I presented it to my partner, Dino Leto, as a writing challenge and he accepted! I would like this to be our lead story for issue #2 of “Horror Shorts.” Enjoy!
A VERY brief History of Horror (and some Sci-Fi) in 4 pages!
A VERY brief History of Horror in 4 pages! ...with a disclaimer: This is a work of fiction created to entertain based on my opinions and not intended to be a definitive guide of horror movies, television, or comics. With that said, this was a story I have wanted to do for a LONG time. Over the past couple of years, it has taken on several revisions and rewrites as I worked it in between other projects. The fun for me was figuring out how to incorporate all my favorite people and characters: Edgar Allan Poe; Universal Monsters; EC's Ghoulunatics; Warren's Eerie, Creepy, and Vampirella; Rod Serling; Harlan Ellison; Jaws; Kolchak the Nightstalker; ROM the spaceknight; Videodrome; and Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, just to name a few! I'm sure if you are a horror or sci-fi fan reading this, I probably left out your favorite. For that, I apologize and kindly refer you back to the disclaimer. Enjoy!
